Biografie : Setherial

In 1993/94 Alastor Mysteriis and Devothan formed Setherial. The band began as a four-piece: Devothan (bass), Alastor Mysteriis (guitar), Cheeroth (vocals) and Zathanel (drums). As their sound and direction evolved, Devothan took over the role of second guitarist, while Thorn (Egregori) accepted the bass responsibilities. Following Thorn's lead, Kraath (Egregori) found his way to Setherial as lead vocalist. Cheeroth departed and the band signed to Napalm Records. They recorded their debut "Nord" in Abyss studio. Although "Nord" received its due acclaim worldwide, Setherial split and the two remaining members, Kraath and Alastor Mysteriis began work on their second release.

For "Lords Of The Nightrealm", Setherial enlisted In Battle's drummer and Chorozon on guitars to complete the line-up.
With the band's third release, "Hell Eternal", came yet another line-up change. Alastor Mysteriis left his role as guitarist to take on the drumming responsibilities.
Setherial has been quiet for the past couple of years, yet they return in 2003 with a special release. "From The Ancient Ruins" (February 2003) will include unreleased demo material from 1994, as well as 1995 and 1998 studio sessions.

Later on Setherial signed a deal with Swedish Regain Records and started working on material for their new album "Endtime divine".

Finally Setherial finalized the since long planned recording of their follow up to the successful "Hell Eternal". The new masterpiece will be entitled "Endtime divine" and includes 9 songs of the most ravishing black metal. The album is conservative in its sence of being faithful to their roots and to the Scandinavian black metal legacy. This is their strongest album ever and will show the world that "Endtime divine" is here.
