Maza (Guitar, vocal) and Faugier (Drums) met Lafaye (Keyboards) and James (Bass, vocal) in 1998, the birth year of SED LEX. A first demo recording was swiftly followed up by a second - the band seemed to have found a sensitive ear in Alan Ricard director of Brennus Music.

Beginning of recording ....an 11 track album...: Open Air festival of Mâcon with Dolly and Indochina (!)...Major and massive success! The rest of the month was dedicated to recording. SED LEX integrates a bass player. James returns to his first loves, taking on the role of singer/rhythm guitarist.

Alain Ricard's Brennus Music label signs up with SED LEX. February 2003 sees the inauguration party for the presentation of the album "De viris".

In October 2003 SEDLEX are the opening act for Deep Purple at the Zenith Omega in Toulon ...Then...

What are SED LEX doing ?....2004 saw a change of line up..... and the Launch of the new band Night Flight.....covering the 70's bands, with Deep Purple in first position of course. SED LEX was put on the back burner temporarily and three survivors start to work the play list of Night Flight with two new stooges - Daadoun (Bass) and Bonifay (Keyboards). A year later......

The two new stooges of Night Flight officially join SED LEX. Quickly, new composition see the light. James becomes lead singer.

SED LEX are support band and opening act for Kansas in June 2005..... New titles are written and the new album is ready to be recorded.

SED LEX is and will remain a live band. Deep Purple invited them, once more to share their French Shows of the 19th in Lyon (Hall T.G) & 24th in Paris (Zenith) January 2006.

SED LEX will play a DEEP PURPLE tribute gig at Billy Bobs in Disney Village – Paris August 3th 2007.
