Biografie : Rob Rock

With his "M.A.R.S, Project: Driver" album, which was released on Shrapnel records, the journey of Rob Rock began. The album featured stellar performances by debut vocalist Rob Rock, guitar virtuoso Tony MacAlpine, and the brilliant rhythm section of Ozzy Osbourne's "Blizzard of Oz" band; Rudy Sarzo on bass and Tommy Aldridge on drums. The album created a huge cult following all over the world and still stands as THE metal masterpiece of the mid 80's.
Rob's first solo album "Rage Of Creation", was released in 2000 to rave reviews and a strong reaction from the industry. The album includes a classic metal version of the Abba song "Eagle", and a rare guest appearance by Jake E. Lee (Ozzy Osbourne/Badlands) on two songs. Rock and his band toured Europe with Axel Rudi Pell in 2001 and did numerous festivals and gigs in the USA to promote the new JVC/Victor Entertainment/Massacre Records release throughout 2002.

"Rob Rock" was voted "Best Metal Act" by both the People's Music Awards and the Orlando Metal Awards in 2001 in their home State of Florida. In 2002, Rob Rock was voted "Best Metal Vocalist" by the Orlando Music Awards.
In 2003, Rock released his second solo album "Eyes Of Eternity", followed by many appearances worldwide including the 2003 Bang Your Head Festival in Germany and a tour of Japan in January 2004. This album again featured Roy Z (Judas Priest, Halford, Dickinson) as co-songwriter and producer and received an avalanche of positive reviews and accolades.

By October 2004 Rock moved on to join the AFM Records label roster and "Holy Hell" is the title of his newest album. Although Rob recorded with several bands before starting his solo career (Impellitteri, Axel Rudi Pell, Joshua) he still maintains the highest musical standards that has made his strong reputation as one of the world's premiere metal vocalists. His strong personality, superb song writing and superior voice still command a huge worldwide metal following that are never disappointed in their demand for the highest quality music.
"Holy Hell" is the next striking and powerful proof of a striking and powerful man, who, for many fans and experts, is "The Voice of Melodic Metal."
With the release of his third solo album "Holy Hell" on AFM Records in 2005, Rob Rock has put together a new touring band from Sweden for the ACES HIGH EUROPEAN TOUR that featured MASTERPLAN, CIRCLE 2 CIRCLE, ROB ROCK, and PURE INC.

The fifteen date, eight country tour was a great success.
Other concerts on the "Holy Hell" Tour included the "SwedenRock" Festival, the "Metalfest" Germany Festival, the "Owen Rock Night" Festival in Germany, and the "Elements of Rock" Festival in Switzerland.

The "Rob Rock" band features: Carl Johan Grimmark on lead guitar/backing vocals, Andreas Olsson on bass guitar/backing vocals, Daniel Hall on lead guitar, Andreas Johansson on drums, and Rob Rock on lead vocals.

Grimmark and Olsson are featured on the new "Holy Hell" CD and are best known for their previous recordings with "Narnia"/"Saviour Machine" (Grimmark) and "Stormwind/Divinefire" (Olsson). Daniel Hall is from the band "Platitude" and Andreas Johansson hails from "Narnia."

The Rob Rock band will begin writing songs for the new album in the summer of 2006.
