The band REACTOR was born in Ukraine in 1988. The name was inspired by accident in Chornobyl Atomic Station in 1986 near the native city of REACTOR - Vinnitsa. The "father" of REACTOR is Vjacheslav Zorin, who always tried to make music of REACTOR the most extreme and guitar-oriented. The line-up was changing during of all career of the band. The band had recorded some demo's ("Midnight" 1989, "Liers Religion"1993, "Killed And Cremated" 1991, "Hellish Power" 1992, "Industry" 2000). There were all released as MC-formats in 2000 by Ukrainian metal magazine Terroraiser. In 1997 REACTOR win the first place in big ukrainian pop and rock festival "Chervona Ruta" in category "Rock group". From 2000 the band established as a duet: Vjacheslav Zorin - guitars, programming and Alexey Lartsin - bass, keyboards, vocals. The music changed - it became more industrialized, but with a massive guitars riffs and with melodious back-ground. In 2003 Moscow major label CD-Maximum released the CD "Critical Mass" for ex-USSR territory, and this album got good reviews in medias. In 2006 year new album titled "Updaterror" was released by Nocturnus Records. Mad Lion Records has decided to re-issue the album since the very unique and fresh look at metal music REACTOR's performed. Musically is a mix of extreme guitars of NAPALM DEATH, energy of SAMAEL and melodies of CREMATORY. "Updaterror" has got two versions: as normal cd and strictly limited and more exclusive digi - cd with patch and sticker as bonuses.
