Biografie : Progenies

At the beginning of 2008, David was looking for musicians to create what was supposed to be a symphonic death metal band. After several changes in the line-up, the young band became steadier with Hubert and Xavier joining it. For about a year, they searched for a fourth member to complete the band and decided to consider having a guitar player instead of a keyboard player. During that time, the trio jammed a lot, recorded a self-produced demo and wrote songs that have defined the genre of music Eyeless would play: Progressive Death Metal. A perfectly balanced blend of brutal death metal riffs, technical and fast parts, odd time signatures, acoustic, groovy and jazzy interludes along with fretless bass.

In September 2009, the band has finally found the missing member they were looking for: guitar player Simon Gag. In December 2009, the finally completed band entered Red Well Studios to record The All Seeing Eye, an EP containing 4 new songs and a revisited version of the song Reign of Slaves from their first demo.

In late 2011, Eyeless changed its name to Progenies in order to avoid any copyright infrigement and confusion with another band bearing the same name. In January 2012, the band entered studio once again to record their first full-lenght album : Beings of Flesh. The record once again shows Progenies taste for exploration through a collection of 8 new songs featuring everything the band has been renowned for in the past but in a more mature and collaborative way. It also features guest vocalists from the Québec Metal scence on the Necropolis suite. Beings of Flesh is currently available for digital download, the band having decided not to release physical copies for now.
