Pavillon Rouge formed in 2008 after musicians Mervyn and YVH met and decided to work on an innovative musical project, blending aggressive Black Metal with Hardcore Techno within an ethereal 80s New Wave atmosphere.
Their first album, Solmeth Pervitine, was released by the label Post Apocalyptic Music (NL) in late 2011, bringing a totally new and personal vision to the extreme metal genre. Through the contrast of the violent riffs, vocals and beats with the mass of ambiances, the 11 tracks on Solmeth Pervitine display the strong pull between Earth and Sky, bestiality and celestial aspirations.
Critics have unanimously agreed that Solmeth Pervitine is one of the best Industrial Black Metal albums. The music’s production quality, innovative concept, efficiency as well as avant-gardism allow the band to attract serious metal fans and beginners alike.
In order to promote their album, Pavillon Rouge have performed with bands such as Daedalion, Himinbjorg, Svart Crown, and supported The CNK in Holland.
The band recorded its second album, Legio Axis Ka, in late 2013. This next album will push the musical limits of experimentation further, yet keep the band’s unique “clubbing” type element.
