At the end of 1997, Olc Sinnsir was spawned from the gathering of four souls, fed and corrupted by the unhealthy atmosphere, the ice-cold blackness and the infernal violence of Scandinavian black metal.
Within it struggle and unite Aseal (drums), Umbrae and Curufinwë (guitars) and A. Svartsinn (vocals and lyrics). Lord Askharon (bass) joined in the winter 1998 allowing the band to get on stage and record the demo "Mountains of Everfurther" carried by a raw and resolutely aggressive production.

Released on the late label Chanteloup Creations, the second demo "Suffering The Work Of Darkness", with a neater sound, assert both musical and spiritual direction of Olc Sinnsir: cold and haunted atmosphere, destructive brutality, born out of the anguish, disgust and hatred for the last moments of this diseased world.

Governed by a lucid vision of the most wretched aspects of existence and by a morbid mysticism, Olc Sinnsir records end of 2002 its first album provided with a better production: "The Throne of Dead Emotions", wherein is distilled a chaotic black metal, dark and bleak, depicting a cynical devotion and an eternal resentment for this worthless and dying humanity.
