LACHRYMATOR was the first Death Metal band in MASS between "1989-1995". Death Metal at that time was in the beginning stages, and we were at the forefront of the metal scene. With bands like Obituary, Deicide, Napalm Death, and Carcass setting the main stream of death metal, and after the Thrash evolution from bands like Slayer, Anthrax, and Metallica who pushed a different kind of music, in an era of Rock & Rap. We had a new sound and a different look on the music scene and we were putting together some of the heaviest music that people ever heard in this area. We helped build an army of fans and pave the way for band coming out this area and getting signed by record labels from Shadows Fall to All that Remains. We may not be out on the scene as often as we would like, but Lachrymator would like to thank all the fans for their support, and loyalty which is still going strong today.
