It all started in January of year 2002 when Meriath decided to dedicate his work for music. He collected two more members (Baalrugh on guitar and Xepher with bass) and started to inventing music. Young band was named HECADOTH - the name of a demon genii taken from The Alphabet of Genii. Because there was no drummer Meriath also created drum lines on computer and Hecadoth could finally release some material. Meriath wrote the lyrics, the music and he also reached for microphone and guitar in this band so it was just a matter of time for him to became a band leader. In year 2003 Hecadoth records their first demo - "Dark Forest Calls". Shortly after that Meriath decides to kick Baalrugh out of this band, because Baal were not doing well in playing guitar, also he was not showing any will to play and doing anything for the band. Baalrugh's place was very quickly taken by Jackobh who is the exact opposition of Baalrugh - he wants to and he is doing many things for the band. In this line-up Hecadoth releases their second demo - "W Odleglej Krainie" in year 2005. Drums are still writen by Meriath but the new thing of this album is that three of four tracks are iwith polish lyrics. Shortly after that promo album called "Bestial Fuckin' Metal" was released with one new instrumental track.
In this time Hecadoth starts to seriously search for a drummer, also begins a co-operation with Kei from Olsztyn who writes sometimes lyrics for the band. Many places Hecadoth visited looking for a room to play, also a couple of poeple appeared who declared they will play drums in this band, but never stayed longer than on week. The band was searching and traveling into many places of their hometown - Lodz until the day when a guy called Maku came.
In meantime another personal problem appeared - because of the personal reasons Xepher left the band. Again Hecadoth started to look for new member, but luckily the new bass player came quickly. He is Maciej from Chordata. With the day 6.6.6 Hecadoth released a split with Stigmata from Elblag - "AshBurn Propaganda".
At the beginning of year 2007 once again the place of a drummer was empty in the band. After short break Hecadoth met Grimskullcrusher, who finally have what a good metal band drummer should have. Finally Hecadoth was ready to play live shows. In meantime Grimskullcrusher left the country because of his studies. With a helping hand came Michal - drummer from allready known friend-band Chordata. In this line-up Hecadoth played their first ever show in Kalisz (Poland) at HellRaiser Night - 05.05.2007 and one week later in their hometown - Lodz at Lunar Festival. Finally the Beast was unleashed...
