FOSCOR was created in 1997 by Falke and Fiar, from Barcelona ( Catalunya ). FOSCOR means darkness in catalan language and describes the musical and conceptual world of the band, looking for a music wich could emanate all the majesty of the darkness, and show the personal attitude unfront the life. Old Black Metal, in the vein of early 90' Black Metal bands; dense, dynamic and majestic, full of raw dark feeling. The FOSCOR's logo and symbols, are inspired in the Modernism Catalan Masters, a movement full of nature and medieval references, as the band's music.
The will of the band was ‘till the first moment, to create a kind of music no needed of external concepts, it means that the band's songs had to speak by itselfs, as a conceptual music no needed of slogans or flags to follow. The darkness cover all the things, as the lie in the modern system, so darkness is an uncontrolled sea of freedom, a sea of knowledge, the self knowldege... the wall unfromt the modern thought. A true attitude with the music, honest and proud to perform Black Metal.

The first steps were to create some riffs, wich through the time were transformed in many compositions. Because this feeling of intimity and the fact to don't have the minimum technical equipment to record the songs, the first years were of self enjoyment, don't taking care of recording nothing. It not was ‘till the 1999 when both members could record the songs in a good way, in their own Noctiflorous Studios. The reason was cause we felt our music as a great thing, needed to be recorded in some format, and by ourselfs; so we decided to start to spend some money in get gear to resolve that... After Fiar entering in Pagan Black Metal horde LUX DIVINA in 2000, Norax ( Lux Divina's vocalist ) was included as vocalist, and to take care of the lyrical aspect. So after show him the compositions and songs recorded, Norax added his personal touch and close the path started in 1997.‘Till then the line-up was: Norax: vocals and lyrics, and Falke and Fiar; all music.

The promo 2001, was spreaded looking for a record label, with a good result of offers to sign a contract, wich weren't concrete ‘till a couple of years later. While the band was in conversations, was released in 2002 through NIGRA MORS RECORDS, a split Cd with the Black Folk band XERIÓN, wich meant the first work showed to the scene....It included songs of the promo 2001, plus a XERIÓN's cover.

Now, in september 2004 and after a long trip of problems and expectings, SACRAL PRODUCTIONS from France, release the first full lenght album, “Entrance to the Shadows' Village”, the result of the long work since the first days, and the songs recorded by themselves.

Anyway, these days, the band has complete the line-up to do concerts and work in a constant way in future material; sadly, Norax has left the band cause personal problems.

The actual line-up is formed by:

Falke: guitar, Wilhkiem: guitar, Nechrist: drumer, Fiar: vocals and bass.
