Founded in 1996, Fall In Shades started recording their first demotape "Awakening of the Storms" (1997) in their rehearsal room on a digital eight-tracker. In spite of the lousy sound quality they got quite some attention in the local underground, even a good review in the back then famous Underground Black Metal Zine "Ablaze" has been earned (they decribed the music as a well-done mix of Iron Maiden, Emperor and Kreator...).

Fall In Shades only played a small number of gigs and only on one of them performed a great cover (sadly never recorded) of Ultravox.. "Dancing With Tears In My Eyes" !

When Marc Selchow got in the band, the sound became more open to other influences, without loosing the kickass elements.

In 1999, the band recorded and released their one and only CD "On the edge to nowhere". The Song "Beyond Salvation", with its Heavy Metal guestvocals (done by Arcadius of Avanitas), even got featured on one of the Rock Hard "Unerhört" Samplers. Only one gig followed...

In 2000, the band sadly deceased due to several personal and musical problems.
