Biografie : Enemy Division

Our brilliant bunch of imeciles came into this filthy world in January or February of 2004 in Bydgoszcz, PL. I'd rather say it was Feb., 'cause our first rehearsal was on St. Valentine's Day. But the the decision of founding the band were ready in the fall of Jan.: Majster (read: My-Ster) - the drummer, and Piehoo (read: Pee-Ehoo)- the bassist, they decided to do something more with their lives than just drinkin' cheap wine.

The next step into being rich and famous was inviting a guitarist - Szorstki (read: Shorstky), Majster's bandmate in their previous band Oak Forest, was a man, who agreed to stay. And then, our band, then named "Magnetic Damage" yet, could manage some own songs and covers. Piehoo tried to sing, but he was to drunk to sound right, so he decided not to become a lead-vocalist. This job was free until 2006-02-24, when Grim (read: Grim) joined the band. It was the day of the first rehearsal with him.

Grim was also that clever mad scientist, who invented the name for a band we all know: Enemy Division. The group started to name itself since 2004-03-16.

The searching for second guitar player finished when ED meets Tomato, who joined ED 2004-07-01, young In Flames', Maiden's, Death's and Ramones' fan. Before him, following persons played: Sfenson (Unborn Suffer's & Land of Anger's member); Paul Menson (one rehersal); Milosz "We Mosh" Siecierko, one month, oriented for a bit different music). We had a chance to play our first gig already in June, but, the party hosts changed their minds in the last moment. We had to wait 'till 2004-08-28. We were playing as a Blain's and Arytmia's support. The sound was crap, but we, and our mighty crew, didn't give a fuck.

The band played 21 shows. The most interesting ones: - 2005-03-05, in Kubryk, Bydgoszcz: 3 songs and 'bye' to organizers. The audience almost started a riot in the club, but we all finished on Mill Island, drunk, of course.

- 2005-07-29, Deczno Festival, Deczno near Swiecie: from amongst the dosen of groups, Grim was awarded by the jury as the best vocalist.

- 2006-05-27, Spin, Bydgoszcz: the concert invented by our guitarist - Szorstki. "Tribute to Sepultura & Soulfly", together with Unborn Suffer, Bleed and Dust Over, we played as a headliner for the first time.

In June of 2006 we started to record our first demo CD. The engineer was Przemek "Smiechu" Staszak (read: Shmee-Ehoo), and the material, finally entitled "Strange Lines EP" was ready in October 2006. After the session, Majster quited Enemy Division, replaced by Piotr "Pietruch" (read: P. Etrooh) Lisowski, previously known as Topper's Mind's and Unborn Suffer's drummer.

From summer 2006 until october 2007 the vocallist Grim was absent because of working abroad and he was replaced by Piehoo as the vocallist on concerts, but already in October 2007 he's came back to Poland one week before elections. We bashed fucking Jaroslaw Kaczynski, made hardcore party including drinking hectogallons of cheap wine and beer, and finally, played the first rehearsal with 5-person line-up.

In March 2008 Pietruch left the band and was replaced by Darek, previously known as Bodysnatcher's and S.F.X.'s drummer. Pietruch currently plays with Progress Priject band.

Enemy Division decided to split up in july 2008. Currently the band finishes its work on "Sentenced To Lie" album. After recordings, every member goes his own way: Szorstki and Darek continue common work with progressive metal project, Tomejt joins Forbidden Land, Piehoo joins Nihil Quest and Grim developes the idea of Kontagion project as a regular band.
