Biografie : Dominus Xul

DOMINUS was born between the years 1991-1992 after the dissolution of the project bands Sadistic Legion and Genocide, where the first rehearsals took place, resulting in the well-known official line-up of the band. The first work of the band is the tape called “The Occult Lords of Torment” (Demo) recorded in the mythic Estudios Rec.

Between middle 1992 and beginning of 1993, with Jose Luis Corral as sound engineer, and the tape was released under the record label Toxic Rec. Afterwards, the bands received excellent critics from the specialized Chilean medias. During the years 1994 and 1995 the band changed for the first time its line-up and then a second work takes place, the independent promo rehearsal called “KUR”.

The band reached more maturity and stamped the characteristic seal which will transcend in Death Metal genre, seal known until today. By the end of 1995, the band gets in the studio to record the EP called “Unchaining the Ancient's Black Prophecies” under Deifer Recs as record label. In that period, the band takes the definitive name of DOMINUS XUL with a stronger line-up and started touring throughout Chile.

In the middle of 1998 and after a long period, starts the process of recording the awaited first full-length called “The Primigeni Xul (I Condemned my Enemies)”, album recorded at HyT Studios and with Picoroco Recs as record label. This album had a new line-up and the music was mature and more obscure, all coming from the founder member and mastermind of the band Alejandro Lizana. With all the success achieved and an endless schedule of concerts, DOMINUS XUL got too affected with the demise of Danny Grave and this lamentable fact ended up with band disbanding.

In 2009, the band reforms and plays a live performance, to promote a compilation CD with some of the band’s previous work, but it isn't until 2010 when DOMINUS XUL establishes a definitive line-up. By the end of 2010, the band started negotiations with XTREEM MUSIC which ended up with the signing of a deal in March 2011 for the release of the band’s second album “To the Glory of the Ancient Ones” that was recorded between February and June of the same year for a release in late August. This production promises to be a landmark and a must-have for the real DOMINUS XUL followers and has a very brutal, occult and obscure musical content, as well as profound lyrics and artwork. All of these features give the band the uniqueness, obscurity and brutality it has stood for during all its years of existence!
