Biografie : Dhak

he band DHAK is one of the oldest and most influencial Metal bands of Argentina. But they never managed in their old times to release an vinyl LP or CD. Their great album in 1992 was only released in cassette. But even without this, they deserve to be mentioned here within the top ranks of Argentine Metal. Guitar player Alejandro Roldan founded the band in 1981, and played at all important festivals and with all known bands of this time! They even played some gigs in Brazil! The first singer was Carlos Cabral, who left the band after the Brazilian tour in 1985!. After recordings with a new singer all went down the drain as they did not have the money to finish the recordings! So the band split up for some years. In 1989 they started again with singer Carlos, and played some important gigs. But Carlos left the band finally again and went to TREN LOCO, which is now one of the most known Argentine Metal bands. With the new singer Diego Valdez he finally managed to release his fantastic album many years later. There they deliver the typical Argentine raw Power Metal with accusing lyrics. But they were one of the inventors of this style. After the release of 2 songs at the compilation "Nahuel I" and the last gig in 1998 it became quiet around Alejandro "El Pelado" (the sheared). He built himself a recording studieo in his small house and produces other underground bands and played in the band SATI (which released one good Metal demo). Since then DHAK lays on ice. But finally the old fanatic from the brazilian label "Dies Irae" disturbed Alejandro in his remote house, and released the material as collectors LP! This is done very well and limited to 330 copies! This might give a push to the old band members, so they they may be play together again!
In the 80s Alejandro produced also the demo of the band MARK, with the singer Claudio O`Connor, who later became a Argentina Metal legend with the bands HERMETICA and MALON!
Singer Diego Valdez joined AZEROTH and later EIDYLLION.
