Devoured from Belgium started in April 1999 with a beat box, Greg on vocals, Mike (Steph's
brother) on bass and Steph as guitar player. All issued from the Thrash band Noxious. The
most prominent musical influences the band chose to integrate in its music were those of
Slayer, Vader, Cannibal Corpse and Bolt Thrower. As they wanted to play on stage, they
decided to recruit a drummer in June 2000. That's how Rebel joined the band on drums. He's
also the vocalist of Deathcore band Never Light Horizon. Unfortunately Mike left the band
for personal reasons in October 2000, yet the other members wished to keep on playing Death
Metal. During the summer of 2001, the first 4-track demo was home recorded and in February
2002 the current line-up was finally achieved with the arrival of bass player Xavier. Today,
Devoured are planning to record a mini-album and to find a label. Until now Devoured played
several successful gigs with bands such as Deep Red, Stormblast, Sacred Sin, Mucus, The Old
Dead Tree, Demise, Livor Mortis, Never Light Horizon, ... But that's not enough; they are still
looking for new places to play and all propositions shall be taken into account.
