Biografie : Demoniac (NZ)

Spewed forth from the bowels of the earth, Demoniac came into being in May 1993 amongst the urban decay of Wellington, New-Zealand. United by one ideal, to make music that would shatter the soul of anyone who would listen, and write in mankind's pain and suffering. Demoniac's pure hate for mankind and total contempt of religion shine through their music like a twisted demented fool languishing in the primevial darkness of the abyss...

Demoniac began as a four-piece band and within five months had released a five-song rehearsal tape....

After the departure of their first drummer, the band took on a new lease...

Of hell with Adromelech (vocals) taking over drumming duties along with vocals... Behemoth (bass) adds his manical ravings and joins Adromelech on vocals. Heimdall completes Demoniac's line-up on guitars.

Demoniac was conceived by Behemoth, but took a while to find the right musicians who bleed the same musical beliefs. With the departure of the first drummer, Demoniac got together a new lot of songs and recorded their self-financed mini album entitled The Birth Of Diabolical Blood, 25 minutes of pure necromantical hell...

This release sold over 600 copies in the first six weeks of being released, mostly sold through various distributions labels such as Osmose Productions, Warhead Records, Morbid Madness, Uncle Underground and few more...

A 7"ep titled Moonblood has been released on a small label United Blasphemy Records and Demoniac appear on a compilation CD called Sometimes There To Death volume 2...

In November 1994 Demoniac entered a studio to record their full-length album Prepare For War (EOR003), out on the French label Evil Omen Records, same label who brought out in 1993 Vociferious & Machiavelian Hate compilation CD and also the first album of Mythos Pain Amplifier. Demoniac's musical inspiration comes from great bands such as Bathory, Impaled Nazarene, Emperor, old Venom, old Sodom and old Celtic Frost. Most people will put Demoniac on the Black/Death-Metal heap, which Demoniac do not want. They consider their music as "pure hate-the-world evil dark hell-metal"...

Demoniac are intent on making brutal demented atmospheres blitzkrieg of music in the future to come...

Then in the end of 1996 Demoniac propose their new album Stormblade (EOR005). This new piece of hate and war contains 9 new songs and intro. Demoniac show with this new opus that extreme music can be mixed with Heavy-Metal parts and also melodic and dark music.

Recorded in a new studio with new engineers, Stormblade's sound is more professional and you discover the true power of destruction of this barbaric horde... Stormblade CD out only in digipack format with a fantastic cover painting made by a French artist who works for the great French magazine Metallian too... The damnation continues... Support war and pain... Hail...
