Biography
After playing in several cover-bands in the early 2000s, Linkan decided to stop playing covers and form a new band that would exclusively play originals. The hunt for potential band members was on.

The chase begins
At a New Years Eve party (2005-2006) Linkan ran into Holm who was rumored to be a high-pitch-singer. A few phone calls later the two decided to give it a go. Linkan brought his kid-brother, Jake, onboard to play the bass. A whole bunch of drummers came and went until Lukas was found through an ad in a music store in November 2006.

The Damaged Dolls entered the Emergenza music contest in the beginning of 2007 after only having played two shows together with the official line-up. They went on to finish third in the Gothenburg finals after winning both the quarterfinals and semifinals.

The first foreign shows took place in Warsaw, Poland, during the same spring and the love for touring was found. 2008 started of great for DD with a lot of things going on such as being selected as the opening act for Hanoi Rocks in Feb at Sticky Fingers in Gothenburg, a small tour of the UK and a successful coast to coast tour of the USA playing shows at venues such as the world famous Whisky á go go in Hollywood. (Check the gig list for full documentation of shows) Things were looking very bright for the future as propositions from record companies and booking agents started coming in.

Sudden halt
Unfortunately the wild ride came to a sudden halt in May, after playing in Helsinki/Finland when our singer, Holm, decided to leave the band and the music business for good to get married. This caused a major set-back and forced the band to retreat, canceling tours and recordings. Finding a replacement proved to be a trickier task than the remaining members could expect. It took until August for DD to find Freddie, a singer that could both sing the right way and fit into the gang. The boys of DD are not known to be lazy hence the period of searching for a replacement was not wasted. A whole bunch of new material has been written and a deal has been signed for “Bad Boy Gigolo” to appear on Glamnation Vol. 4.

This experience has made the band even more determined to keep fighting harder and Damaged Dolls is stronger than before...
