Biografie : Black Majesty

The Australian metropolis, Melbourne, who gave the metal world bands such as Vanishing Point and Pegazus, has bred a new combo, comprising of John Cavaliere (vocals), Stevie Janevski (guitar), Hanny Mohamed (guitar), Evan Harris (bass) and Pavel Konvalinka (drums). All influenced by classic metal bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Helloween, Blind Guardian and Black Sabbath, these five talented lads joined together under the name BLACK MAJESTY and began to compose traditional, melodic metal tracks in a style similar to the early albums of Dream Theater and Queensryche. And their first demo recordings had hardly been released when the band was voted amongst the best \"Unsigned Acts for both Rock Hard\'s \"Unerhört\" CD (German edition) and the \"Metal Crusade\" CD given away with the German \"Heavy, oder was!?\" magazine.

The worldwide, euphoric reactions to the material also led to a deal with Limb Music Products (LMP) in 2003, the same year in which their debut album, \"Sands of Time\" was released. Once again the reviewers were more than generous in their praise for the album and the huge interest on the part of the fans led to the album becoming a real top seller. BLACK MAJESTY was voted the \"Best New Metal Band\" by Australian metal mag, \"Full Strength\" and in the world famous, often-cited Japanese magazine, BURRN! the band reached an incredible third place in the Heavy Metal Import Charts\".

The fact the band is truly made up of extremely talented young musicians is underlined by the news that Australian Guitar\" magazine described them as one of the biggest talents of the metal scene. Impressed by the lads\' superb live shows, the two guitarists, Stevie Janevski and Hanny Mohamed have signed endorsement deals with no lesser names than Hughes & Kettner amps, Jackson guitars and Dean Markley strings, something that very few newcomer bands can claim. Encouraged by such success, BLACK MAJESTY began writing songs for their second album, \"Silent Company\" - songs which were planned to put even the mini-masterpieces into the shade &

And now the waiting is over! With their great new songs such as Dragon Reborn, Silent Company and the hymnline Visionary, BLACK MAJESTY are following the melodic-classic paths laid out by Iron Maiden, (early) Queensryche and Helloween, whilst the Celtic sounds of the cover version of John Englishs Six Ribbons and the somewhat calmer \'Darkened Room\' show a totally new, by no means less brilliant side of the Australians. It is precisely at times and with songs such as these that John Cavaliere, who in the higher vocal ranges is reminiscent of Bruce Dickinson, truly earns his reputation as one of the best metal singers of the southern hemisphere. The band cut no financial corners during the production and recorded the drums with Piet Sielck (Iron Savior, Saxon, Wizard) in the K.A.R.O. studios in Germany. The album was produced and mixed by Endel Rivers in Palmstudios
