ASSACRENTIS, a french black metal band whose previous name was "Cursed Artefact" has been founded by lead guitarist Dagoth.

Some times after, Rydelth (keyboards) and Ceptis (Bass guitar) join the band after the split of "HELIXIR" band.

Compositions of the band evolve into cold style, unhealthy, aggressive, melodic and speed, influenced by Scandinavian bands of 1990 years.

In 2001, they produce their first demo cd composed of two titles.

In 2003, Dagoth becomes the main singer, continuing playing guitar.

At the end of 2003, ASSACRENTIS, decide to record a four title CD at Wizard and Harkam studios. This record called "The Secrets From The Past" has been produced, recorded and mastered by Willdric Lievin. Leader of the french symphonic metal band Hamka.

In May 2005, Abaddon (drums) join the band.

After many live shows in the South of France, one in Paris and the Headbanger area, the band increase his notoriety who push them to begin the recording of their first album at the end of the year 2007.
