Biografie : Art Of Fear

Power Metal from Austria? Is this possible? YES!
Art of Fear, THE Power Metal band from Austria. No question. Starting in 1997 as a trio they grew to a foursome in 2001 playing their uncompromising and honest sound at multiple concerts as well as on two EPs and two full-length albums.
Since vocalist Thomas Cassan joined the band and the successful “Pride of Creation“ EP their international reputation has developed very positive. Excellent reviews in major magazines (“Rock Hard”, “Heavy Oder Was!?”, etc.) as well as in numerous webzines and their contribution to three underground-samplers confirm that statement.
The next cd “Master of Pain“ in 2003 was recorded in only four days. Live. Hardly any overdubs. The straight power of a maturated band that has found their own sound never denying the roots demonstrated in 10 songs. And again excellent reviews emphasised the class of the band – but still they were heroes of the unsigned.

That changed in December 2004, when a deal with the German SINSIN records in Bremen was signed. Only three months later, Art of Fear hit the label's own DREAMLAKE studios to record ten brand-new songs, that were mixed and mastered in September /November 2005. Ten diversified songs of pure metal perfectly produced, packed with a cover extraordinaire. The anticipated release of FACING HELL was retarded for quite a long time by different facts & person, but finally is due in autumn 2007.
Despite the growing success and the awaited release of Facing Hell, Thomas Cassan quit the band due to musical and occupational reasons in May 2006. But with Daniel Khan another excellent singer joined Art of Fear to present what Art of Fear stands for:
Power Metal in the truest sense of these words – no keyboards, no childish melodies - no compromises!
