Biografie : Arkham (FRA)
Our first demo tape came out in 1996. Obscurs et Eternels is the conclusion to a first era and is grated with a complete line-up, featuring also a keyboard and a female chorist. Arkham music was at that time rather atmospheric But some months after the release of this demo, three out of five band members leave the band, for some quite mysterious reasons. For Arkham, their departure opens a way to a darker era, more brutal and violent.
At the end of 1996, a new drummer, Lord von Carthasis has joined us. The year after, in March, we recorded the Promo 1897 of which one track is present on the VMI Encyclopedia Pestilentia compilation. Being unused, it will become in 1998 the split-demo with Nuit Noire. In June of the same year, we released Rehearshal 97. But the new drummer would only stay one and a half little year in the band (in fact two years, but with some times of break), as he preferred to devote himself to his project.
Near the end of 1999, a friend, Tenebras (from Nuit Noire) suggested to play the drums for us to be able to go on. Some time afterwards, Sire Cedric joined us, and realised the sound effects. Thanks tp this new line-up we released in 2000 the Malediction tape album, composed of eight tracks, nowadays sold-out.
In 2001 begins a new era for us, centered on us signing with a Toulousan label Battleskr's. We also have integrated a second guitar player Tor Akin (from Cythraul). This new formation will achieve in September 2003 the recording in the Winterized Records studio of a mini-album Chapt. 3 the Madness from the sea which is now released.
