It"s septembre 2000 that six musicians from different backgrounds from the Rhône-Alpes Metal region (such as Swarm, Season, Reverence, Neurotic pain) join arms to form Aquilon. During this first period the band consisted of Alexandre (vocals, keys), Anne (vocals, keys), Christophe and Sebastien (guitar), Jérôme (bass) and Jeremy (Drums). The music at this time was a mix of melodic and aggressive Metal. In the early stages the band played a lot of shows with French bands, until in 2002 changes occurred in the band. Early 2002 Jérôme decided to quit the band, and eventually he was replaced by Sabrina. Later that year Jérémy also departed to be replaced by Ghyslain, also a member of Dryade like Sabrina. After more shows with this line-up, the recording of the debut mCD started in mid 2003 and was titled "Les Ombres De Quatre Murs". Eventually, Ghyslain would leave the band a year after joining, with Fabien taking his place
