Biografie : Angst (UK)

Angst are an increasingly popular hard rock/metal band from Crawley, West Sussex, in the UK. Driven by the ferocious dual-guitar attack of Liam O'Brien and Mikko Figura and the imposing rhythm section of Nicky Moynihan and Matt O'Brien, their repertoire consists of classic covers from the best bands of the 70s and 80s as well as phenomenal original material. Fuelled by influences such as Led Zeppelin, Motorhead, Deep Purple and Metallica, Angst always deliver an electrifying and awe-inspiring performance.

In late 2006, Angst's first originals demo, Fantastic, was completed, containing three of their most popular songs: How's Your Touch?, Dungeon Walls, and Gallows of Love. The CD received exceptional reviews from their growing fan base, and led to a wide range of gigs across the south of England, including the Purple Turtle in Camden, The Cartoon in Croydon and the Beacon Court Tavern in Gillingham, as well as mainstage festival appearances at the Celtic Rock in the Park 07 and Crawley Festival 08.

2009 sees the release of Angst's long-awaited follow-up to Fantastic, The Liner. The CD features three new songs: Darkness Rising, Running and Cruise Liner, as well as exclusive artwork from Lauren Anderson. The band continues to gig solidly across the south of the UK, including appearances in Brighton, Southampton, Worthing, the Carling Live Bridge House II in London and the BMF Garden of England Show in Kent.
