It all started in Gloggnitz. Down in the cellar where two left-overs of a heavy-metal-band (ANDY keyboards and FRANZ vocals) were practising, a young man (TOMMY bass) entered.

From then on (12-1-1991) we were a trio with very different aims and a lot of ambition. A few weeks later a drummer (JOE) joined. Now we entered a time of practising and practising and practising. But one of us didn't had the time to practise that much. JOE had a little private problem and one day he left. So, what? Very simple. You ought to search for a guitarplayer (WOLFGANG) and if you got him a drummer (CRIS) is right there waiting for action.

After the "foundation" we performed two successful concerts. But there again was some trouble. Because of bad coincidents FRANZ had to break with the band. He had to concentrate on the familybusiness and therefore no more time for our "Allied Crazy".

Now there we stood, poor chicken, without vocals but with immense will. A german saying goes like - if there's a will there will be a way - and the way came to us like an earthgoing hero (NORBERT - he looked quite like that). Everything started again. Hours of practising went by and the songs were more and more established. But CRIS was a bit frustrated. He proclaimed that we should not always change things within our songs. We sould play the songs in front of an audience instead just to regain our inspiration. He was right. Our songs where ready (more than 95 %) and we had spent a lot of time down in the cellar.

The 1993-concerts followed. At the beginning with increasing audience and later on with declining audience (0 - 200). We started to think that over. The less audience the more we searched for an answer to the declining audience rating. We developed the theory that nobody's really interested in our songs although we got really good critics after each concert. We had to change a few things. First of all the band name. And the songs too. 60 percent coverversions and 40 percent our own songs. OK - that's it. And we started again.

After only one concert in 1994 (and a band-contest - final) there was again a time of crisis. CRIS told us that he had lost his aim and that it makes no sense anymore. At first sight the rest of the band did not really recognize the scenery, because everyone was tired of playing coverversion, but after a few days the whole thing looked quite bad. Where should we take a new drummer from?

Because we all read newspapers (probably now and then) we thought that drummers do also read newspapers and we advertised. Only a few days later a child answered to our ad and on the next day we listened to what the cild plays on drums. We all thought that we had an earache because DAVID (13 years old) played the drums like we heard from popular bands on several CDs. We were astonished and we started again. After a short guest performance we felt much more enriched.

We decided to re-name the band again - AMUN RE - and we started to re-structure our songs and because of our "little drummerboy" we did this in record time. In addition a second keyboard player (THOMAS) joined the band who again increased the potential. And because of JULIA - who enriched the vocal performance - the whole thing seemed to develop very well.

But not everything went that successful. There were strained relations within the band and they came out to be not bearable. The band split into two parties and one of them decided to leave (more or less). And we again started to seek. After a long term SIMON (drums) joined us and with his jazz-drumming he roused the flame of AMUN RE again. In addition a two-girl-madhouse arised (IRMI and SANDRA) which helped us in a strange but very very successful way. But only 50 percent survived. With our demo-CD "Poisoned Rain" we started into the new millennium and we were able to look back onto a few very positive reviews. Through the internet-revolution the whole world is going to be your neighborhood - also for AMUN RE. We found new friends throughout the world, who told us to keep on working and so we decided to go for a recording session again - 2001 - the year of contact ...

Despite of all we keep on and hold on tight to our aim -
