Biografie : Against The Grain

Sometimes when people hear heavy music and say too me " Why are the vocals so deep?" "They sounds like growling you cant even understand the words" I tell them that the Vocals, just like the music are agressive and loud. Which is how we like our music to sound. There is melodic metal aswell if some people wern't so shallow minded they would no that. If we had soft vocals with our heavy music it would sound stupid with heavy music in the back ground.

Im sick of people arguing with me about metal vocals, do we argue about how Rap or classical vocals sounds like? No. We dont tell them how to sing, its the agressive side of metal. Its how its supose to sound, its also a way to let out our agression in a positive way. Not only the vocals are agressive but the music is also, its a way to get out anger with out doing anything stupid.

People can relate that we have certain opinions on certain issues in life and there not always happy issues. The world isnt always a happy place, theres a whole diffrent side to it and some people just dont wana hear about it because there affraid of it.

This is what my opinion is when people ask me stupid questions. It goes a lot deeper than just one question, theres a whole lot more to be said. I have said this because i am sick of answering to every single person who argues our style of music. So i wrote it down and if you want to no the answer then read it.

People who say Metal isnt music plain and simple dont no shit! it has a lot of meaning to it, and people who say that obviosly dont no anything about music them selves because they probably dont really listen to it properly. Because hearing a song is totally diffrent to listening to a song. People need to understand that Metal is more than just yelling and screaming and relize that there is a message behind it all. The sceaming and yelling is for a reason the lyrics and the music is passionate and has meaning that get people emotionally envolved.
