Absynth was founded founded in July 2001 by JWM (the only and founding member). Through the years the sound and style has varied, although musically Absynth has always been categorizable as Metal. James takes care of all aspects of the music from the writing to the production. In October 2001 a demo of songs was cut and in 2002 some demos were recorded from home, these songs were never adapted and subsequently shelved. In November 2004 James recorded "Suicide Humanity". This was a four track EP which was the first official Absynth recording. It was available on distribution from demonian productions for a limited time, although now is not stocked by the distributor. In 2005-2006 work began on a full length, several songs were written but vocals were never cut to the record and while searching for a distributor there seemed no suitable home for the recording and unforeseen personal circumstances changed, because of this the music was was never released. Had the record been finished the title would have been "Revelations Of A Dire Consequence ". Some of that material will be reworked in the future. In 2007 James formed separate musical projects and has been working freely in other projects since which have been met with some enjoyable acclaim, because of this Absynth went on hiatus. A fourth-coming album titled Luminescence will be released as well as an EP. Dates for these releases have not been confirmed but information on this site will follow.
