Biografie : Abinitio

Abinitio is a band that formed in the summer of 2003 in our hometown of Evergreen, Co. at a local get together. Little did anyone know what sexy piece of ass would emerge from the depths of Bear Creek that night.

The day started off just as any other life altering day starts off... (if you work slave labor for 80 hours a week). After a long day of complete hell, vocalist (Me) Jesse Mondragon eagerly antisipated the night to come that would surely lead to the usual drunken seditious climax that preludes each day. Onward to the party...and the beer flowed, and the girls drank the beer that flowed. A 12 pack and six shots later, to my surprise, Ex- fellow band mate Brandon Debenham entered the room with his drums and three others accompanied him with other instruments including guitar amplifiers and heavy metal guitars. B explained to me that the four piece standing before me were an aspiring hardcore/metal/Rock and Roll band without a vocalist. Remembering the glorious awkward days of Remember Alf( our old band also from Evergreeen) I was enticed to listen to the rehearsed quattro.

I could tell that they had potential (if for no other reason) the solo fact that Nick Browning was leading the act and definately had the ability to produce some "Moshcore material." I knew Nick from our hometown of Evergreen as well and had previously seen his capabilities in the punk/metal project Shadows of Julian(RIP)

I was unaquainted with the other two members of the project they had dubbed Abinitio. I liked the two Arizona immigrants immediately after realizing the "supreme fresh potential" they had to consume mass amounts of whiskey( along with myself )..(Hence labeling other drunks instead of just me). Christopher Horvath, the long haired lad of Hungarian descent loves the cheapest Canadian whiskey available and nothing more. He likes to play the 4 string bass and still likes to wear the crooked trucker hat and rock out with rigorous style.

The ryhthm guitar position consisted of a grizzled face, lots of hair and a roaringly majestic yet glamorous laugh. All 6 foot 3 inches of Jay Gould accompanied Whore(Chris) on their adolescent journeys through the desert sands and the crotchy heat of Arizona. The two have lived together for 2 and a half years in the Denver/Lakewood area and are satisfied with the" not hot as balls" atmosphere that Colorado has to offer. We all like the same kind of music and all thoroughly enjoy banging our heads so naturally we had to achieve some kind of personal excellence. Our first practice was three days later and we haven't taken our arms off of each other ever since.

Today we have taken it a step further and all moved in together. Our six bedroom house flourishes with booze, bowling balls, pool balls fooze balls soccer balls and "tally wackers." Six bedrooms minus five hooligans..well, (three drunken hooligans, a "chimney" and a twenty four hour guitarsonist) equals one bedroom to make the music flow like the great Little Cub Creek... So it's pretty cool to all live in the same bordello because we play music all the time.

Well..the epic relationship of Jay & Dubbs has come to a screeching hault. I guess two years is a long time for anyone and that's certainly enough time to allow feelings to run astray.Dubbs is still our muscle whenever it needs to be flexed. I have been involved with a breathtaking beauty for a little over a year now(many moons?) and hopefully for many more to come! Other than that there's not much as far as nothing fights go. So ladies we are taking reservations just call 303.284-6219. Clothing optional!...And yes we do accept beer donations. We enjoy kicking everbody's ass in bowling so if anyone thinks they're worthy of a challenge....step up to the plate.(ETID didn't step up to the plate!...pussies!)

We have a 5 song EP available now entitled "Cover The Footsteps, Cover The Wreckage", so keep an eye out for the BRONCORE.

I guess if I had to describe our sound I would say I have no fucking clue. We just like to party and play some music in the process. We play mostly around Denver but have found a righteous yearly ritual in Austin,TX @ the Quadruple Bypass festival with our good friends in Weather The Storm. When we're in our hometown we play with bands like Clinging to The Trees of The Forrest Fire, To Be Eaten(R.I.P),Before The Reign,Augustine and Glass Houses Sink Ships.. just to name a few. So come support us or any of these bands and say hi.. "Tell e'm large Marge sent ya.
