All had begun when Agamoth, from the shadow of a satanic moon created the war machine we all know as Abgott. In November ‘97 he spawned the uncompromised demo Celtic Metal Battle, a real anthem to the world in a perfect black metal tradition. Hortern and Nephilim will join the project and Abgott started would hit the road for almost a year around their native land.

+++1999/2000+++
At the Dawn of a new Millennium the legendary, self-titled and self-financed, debut album is recorded at Ressole Studios. With a good response from the press and media the band reach well founds to get back on the road.

+++2000/01+++
Ready to go back alive, Abgott promoted their album around Italy, with the War Shall Be 2000/01 Tour, either as headliner or support band to Storm Lord, Handful of Hate, and Cultus Sanguine. The main magazine will support the band for their live performances with extraordinary reviews (Grind Zone, Metal Shock, Metal Hammer, Psycho and far more underground magazine).

+++2001+++
After a good experience gained on the road, Agamoth decided to go back to the Ressole Studios and record the next chapter Fizala, an unconventional and experimental concept black metal album, lyrically based on the myth of Ancient Divinities and musically direct toward new boundaries into extreme metal. Unhappy with the Italian metal community and extreme difficulties to find a label willing to produce his new creation, Agamoth took his project to Great Britain.

+++2002/03+++
Once established in to UK Agamoth find a deal with Helvete Record for a limited production and distribution of this new milestone into the extreme metal dimension. With good responses from the specialized media and press, Agamoth found new members: Djavul (from Denmark) Morgoth (from Manchester) and Antichrist (from London). Suddenly the band started its live activities this time around Europe supporting: Napalm Death, Destruction, Hatesphere, Invocator, and Ancient Rites, between the biggest.

Fizala finally find an executive producer with Juan Garcia (Agent Steel) with his label Oracle, subdivision of the major Direct Music Group USA. Agamoth signed a contract for the first printing of 10.000 copies of the album for the American and Canadian territory only, well the album has being printed a second time the same year. Having a strong change of line up again, Agamoth and Antichrist took in the band Thanatos lead guitar (from London) and Daemoon bass guitar (from Italy) and with this new line up they went back on the road in UK for fifteen shows, in Italy for seven shows and in Poland for an open air festival. Abgott will support Dark Funeral. Showing so much good willing to succeed the band started an excellent collaboration with Tomasz and his label Conquer Record, taking part to compilations with Acheron, Incantation. Agamoth and his crazy crew started to obtain more and more attention from the British magazines with unexpected result.

+++2005+++
With the good result reached both on the stage, on the paper and in the shops, Abgott signed a new contract with Conquer Records for the release of Fizala over Europe. Straight after the label management organized an excellent series of shows for the band, first as support for Behemoth “Demigod Tour 2005” in UK, then as support around Europe for Enslaved, Ancient, Napalm Death, Behemoth and Destruction (again) and for another eighteen gigs in UK, France, Italy, Belgium, Poland. With an exponential increase of their live activities Abgott sign another deal with artist manager and tour manager Lamia Hellen representative of The Arts & Management Team and the band had another change of line up Daemoon was asked to leave the band and Nyarlatothep (from London) was welcome on board as new bass player. The great result for the band during this year has been according them to 25 days European tour supporting Deicide, starting from next 22nd October 2005, with the Metallysee Agency.

At this point Abgott is currently working at the new studio album, but the recording has been postponed to the beginning of the new year and Conquer Records will release it soon after
