Martijn Groeneveld is a recording and mixing engineer and producer. He runs his own Audio Studio 'Mailmen' and has recorded 200 albums over the past 20 years.

Martijn was born in Utrecht (1971).
From 1983 to 1990 he attended the Stichtse Vrijeschool in Zeist, and in 1990 began studying Music Technology at Utrecht School of Arts. While at college, Martijn founded his first sound-engineering studio (Stichting N.U.A.C.). In 1996 he graduated in production, sound-design and composition. That same year, he started Mailmen Studio for audio-design and production.

Mailmen studio is located in the historical fortification De Gagel, which was once part of the Waterlinie. Since 2000 he has recorded and produced national and international productions. Several of the bands he produced have won De Grote Prijs: Satellite 7, Little things That Kill, Silence is Sexy, The Cosmic Carnival and Lucky Fonz III. Face Tomorrow, a balladeer and Anderson also won the audience award in the same competition. This Beautiful Mess, Van Katoen, Face Tomorrow, Wealthy Beggar and Solo all won the national Essent-award. At the close of every day won the first 3voor12 (VPRO) award for best album in 2004.

As well as production, Martijn works as a band-coach and in pre-production. Over the years he has produced several tv-leaders and songs. Furthermore, he was asked to give guest-lectures at the Conservatoire Groningen, at the Utrecht School of Arts and The Herman Brood Academie.
