Performing since the age of 13, JD has been active in many aspects of music. Aside from playing and recording as a guitarist and drummer for several bands, he runs a small home studio and works with local talent of a wide variety of genres offering services in music and graphic art production.

In 2004, Joe Dan joined death metal veterans, Severance as guitarist. Since he was already a fan of their music for alomst a decade prior to their union, the transition was seamless. Only 2 weeks after official joining the band, he joined them in the studio to record "Suffering in Humanity."
