Gisele Marie Rocha is a Muslim woman who is a munaqaba (wears niqab) and is the only munaqaba on the planet who is a professional heavy metal guitarist. In 2015 she headlined a show in support of Syrian refugees in Brazil that was reported worldwide through Reuters International. After that she formed the thash/death metal band Eden Seed and is currently the lead guitarist for the band Mummya.
