The cover shown here is from the re-release edition which was indeed done by Blutreinheit I think in 2004. The orginal edition was released in 1999 by New Era Productions. An edition of 100 copies of which the first 50 came in a digipack. Now over to the music.

This is the demo on which I think Mordaehoth really matured as a band. This was the highlight of Sigwyrd and Wehrwolf's collaboration. Various tracks can be found on their previous promo tape but the versions on this tape really take the cake!

Opening with what is by now one of their classic tracks "Verdoem Al't Christelijk Leven the tone is set. I love how the riff kicks in after the intro. Near the end the song evolves into a fast passage where the synth melody combined with the raging guitars reminds me of Emperor's "In the nightside eclipse." The second track is an underrated one in my opinion "Slag bij't avondrood." I don't hear many people talk about this one though I think it's an interesting and solid track which really builds up in a nice way to a furious outburst after which a typical Mordaehoth solo is performed. Simple yet so effective. Mark Angelraper of Violent Moshground 'zine once called it "primitive briliance" I think that about says it.

Also "Verhuld door stronk en herfstblad" is an interresting track with it's odd riffs and songstructure. A nice Graveland like passage is build into the song sounding very mysterious as does the double bass part later in the song.
A track which was also on the earlier mentioned promo tape is "Laatste dagen van een oud pantheon" an acoustic track which shows an other side of Mordaehoth the more calm and spiritual side.
This version here though is completely different from the one on the promo which is a fast and harsh pounding track.
But the serenity is quickly broken by the heavy thrashing of "Wodanszonen" man, that track rocks as does "Nacht van vergelding." Yes this is one of my favorite Mordaehoth demo's along with Balder I think. I like Solis Sacerdotibus too but I find myself listening to Liederen way more often so I guess that says enough.

I'm pretty sure this re-release is still available, the original might be harder to find esspecially if your looking for the digipack edition which I for one have never seen.
