Leave Scars were launched back in 2005 by singer Kristof “Dizzy” Van Eyck, Guitarist Filip “Mo6” Verstappen (both ex-D.O.A. members) and Kris “Uncle” Boenders (ex-Hard Resistance) on drums. They’ve released the “Unit 731” demo in 2007 and it trashed the underground scene. They’ve played on the holy grounds of Wacken Open Air 2009. A first full lenght cd “The Arrival” was self-released in 2013 and they did an awesome gig at Graspop Metal Meeting followed by supports for Toxik, Five Finger Death Punch, Fueled By Fire, Violator, Martyr, …
“Chains Of Redemption” was released by Spinal Records in Benelux March 2015 and in the U.S.A. by Malevolence Records. Kristof on vocals, Mathias “Ath” Annys on bass, Djoni Tregub and Paul Aerts on guitar and Kris on drums released an old school Thrash Metal album like it should be. Artwork by Colin Marks. The album is an honorable proof that little Belgium has a big significance when it comes to worthwhile Thrash metal albums.
