The Grey of the Storm Blinds All Hope is an interesting album. It says that the album is 7 tracks, but it is really one long track being just over an hour long. This album is very folky, and very ambient. It’s definitely for those in search of a good album to rest to, or to take long walks through the forest through, or anything else like that.
The Barrow, being the first “chapter”, is a short one, and it preview what’s to come in the next hour or so. It has a small snare drum laying out a beat in the background, whilst soft and gorgeous synths play over a small tune of happiness and content.
This album is completely done with keyboards and natural sounds (i.e. thunder and lightening, rain, the sounds of a small river). It’s the type of music you would suspect to hear while outside walking through the woods, listening. It can be ordered from Dungeons Deep Records (www.dungeonsdeep.com) along with
Book II.
Both are amazing and can be enjoyed in any mood.
