Figured I'd start another one of these threads up since I've been digging up alotta good new stuff lately... Within The Ruins new album is ok so Far, I haven't got all the way through it, but it's definitely no invade part 2. I really didn't have high hopes for the new Rotting Christ album after listening to one track they released a month earlier, but now that they've got all the songs up on youtube, I stand corrected, despite the really goofy name (Kata Daemonia eaytoy or something like that) this album's starting to sound really epic, can't wait to hear it from start to finish.Worst album so Far has definitely got to be the debut release from some Death Metal "supergroup" that popped up out of nowhere late last year called Oblivion, I should've smelled shit sandwich when I heard it had a bunch of members from All Shall Perish, easily one of the most talentless Deathcore acts Ever assembled. Oblivion's debut is just a mash up of some shitty technical riffs that were too fast for All shall Perish's fan base with some watered Down, bastardized Immolation riffs.. but I digress, in short, it's bad.I heard something about Jungle Rot releasing a new album sometime in march and am anxiously awaiting to hear news on that (I really wasn't infatuated with their last one, Kill on Command but they still have a pretty spotless track record).

I'm looking forward to Wardruna-Runaljod – Yggdrasil

Last album was epic and the preview here sounds very nice.

I totally agree with you there, All Shall Perish haven't progressed anywhere since their debut.

I don't know about you, but I was slightly disappointed with Suffocation's new album Pinnacle of Bedlam. I don't know why but I think their song writting and flow of their music went right out the window with this one. It almost seemed like they were trying to give off some kind of modern Death Metal with an "Old-School" effect by having some faster solos, super-fast blast beating and a slightly raw-er production quality than some of their later albums. Or maybe I'm just an idiot.

Decide for yourself:

I didn't hear much of a difference between those Two tracks, but then again, Suffocation bores me to no End, I've given up on trying to find an album by them that I can actually listen to. I kinda like that Human Waste EP they did, but that's it.I just heard Heaven Shall Burn has a new album coming out in about a month, guess they've released a new song and the album artwork, don't ask what the hell's up with the art... your guess is as valid as mine.

Hey cool, this band sent me a demo CD of Irbloss to listen to and review a while back. I wonder if any of my advice to them stuck... XD

This band is called "Wardruna" and the album "Runaljod-Yggdrasil". It's a neofolk/ambient project and Gaahl of Gorgoroth, God Seed (or wathever) plays there to.

Wolfchant released a new album yesterday, but even more importantly, they re-released their first album (which suffered from horrible recording quality the first time around) and it sounds so much better than the original,  I haven't even touched their new album, but hearing Bloody tales of Disgraced Lands in crystal clear perfection makes me happy... Such a great album, anyone who likes Ensiferum or Varg will definitely love early Wolfchant material.

Varg as in the national socialist band or Varg as in Burzum, The Black metal band that happens to be fronted by a national socialist?
