Amaury and Zago have listened to various Metal stuff for years, and decide to create their own band. They take contact with friends, and friends of friends.

Finally, both take the mic, Tibo (now in Spiritual Dissection) is on the drums, Manu (now in Dying Process) is on the bass, and Djé and Jérôme are guitarists. Witness is born.

2002 : after 6 months in the band, Amaury decides to stop. Max will replace him. The band progressively finds its own style, a mix of Thrash and Death Metal, with solis made in Rock'n Roll.

2003 : in December, Manu leaves Witness too, just before the recording of the first demo. He is replaced by Mediamo, who had followed the band almost since the beginning. Witness releases its first demo, entitled "Vision of Insanity". The band gives some gigs between March and December.

2004 : Mediamo and Jérôme decide together to switch their instruments. Jérôme takes the Bass, and Mediamo the Guitar. Witness works then on new compositions, and makes some gigs.

2005 : at the beginning of the year, Tibo joins Spiritual Dissection, and has to leave the band. After a few month of incertitude concerning the becoming of Witness, FX (from D.O.H) replaces him for 2 months, and records the drums parts of the 2nd demo, "... Of Desolation". In October, Maxime (from Wergeld) joins the band as the new drummer. The new Witness is ready.

2006 : Witness makes some gigs, releases the second demo "... Of Desolation" and works then on new devastating songs.

2007 : Sergio replaces Jérôme at the bass. Many gigs in ou region, and we discover the international thanks to Midian and Spiritual Dissection. You can buy our second EP by contacting us. We work now on our first album.
