Code of Silence was started in late 2005 by ex Divinity Denied drummer Joao Morte and an old friend who played guitar.

Joao's friend showed a lack of commitment and so Joao found himself alone once more... Refusing to give up, Joao searched for new members for his project. Then in February 2006, the call for a guitarist was answered in the form of Brynn Huxtable... Soon thereafter bassist Ryan Lowe joined.

The three practiced together for a while, but a vocalist and second guitarist were still required. After more research and hunting, Khaya Maseko and Brendon Olivier joined to complete the 5-piece Metal Group...

After 2 gigs, it was clear that Brendon had creative differences with the rest of the band and left to join Creophagous soon thereafter.

Code Of Silence then played together as a 4-piece for several months and enjoyed some successful gigs and even released a 6 song E.P. in the middle of 2006, but a 5th guitarist was still needed to capture the true sound of the band...

After much searching, Matthew Williams finally joined the band at the end of 2006. His eagerness, tenacity and skill endeared himself to the rest of the band and so he has earned his place among the original members...

With gigs lined up for Durban, Pietermaritzburg and Johannesburg, and a Cape Town Tour planned for later in the year, the band are set to take the country by storm with every ounce of strength within them. Say hello to the new face of Metal. And never say goodbye to Code Of Silence
