The beginning of UNDERCROFT is marked by the appearance of their mythical 2 first demos, being "To Final The Battle" the pioneer one, appeared in May of 1993. Then came "Demons Awake... Revenge is Near" in November of the same year.

These works took step to the debut album, called "Twisted Souls", this one made in 1995. Two years later, in 1997, the album "Bonebreaker" appeared. In September of 1998 the album "Re-Demolition" is released, which is the re-edition of both demos of the band, plus some tracks taken from the recording of "Bonebreaker" plus a cover from Napalm Death.
After a long silence, UNDERCROFT recorded and made one of their best works to date, "Danza Macabra", released in August of 2000, and being an album that marks some changes on the line-up, but that brings the force and power that always has characterized to the band. This album is a great step for UNDERCROFT. The present line-up is: Claudio Illanes on Guitars, Pablo Cortez on Drums and Alvaro Lillo Voice and Bass... A complete agenda of gigs was followed "Danza Macabra" release, appearing in the most prestigious places in Santiago and other Chilean places. For the live acts they began to use an invited guitarist, to give live the same sound reached on the studio.

After the success of "Danza Macabra", UNDERCROFT decided to dominate other frontiers, so with decision, in March of 2001, they flied to Europe, specifically to Sweden, where they recorded a new album with 11 songs with the known producer Daniel Bergstrand (STL, Meshuggah, Lord Belial, among others). After the recording of this new work, which took three Weeks, they put in contact with several people, playing some gigs in Sweden, Poland, Germany, among others.

Also they attracted the attention of several Record Labels, and they decided to sign a Record deal with PAVEMENT/CRASH MUSIC to produce their new album. The album will be on the record stores by April 2002, and it'll be called “Evilution”. On the chilean territory, the album will be released by WAR Discos, the label that has produce all the previos work of the band.

UNDERCROFT returned to Chile at the end of 2001, but they'll come back to Europe by April/May to continue with the massive European Destruction. A full chilean Tour will be done before the band returns to Europe.
