Biografia : Japanische Kampfhörspiele

Shy long-time drug addict Christof Kather, who had always suffered from severe psychotic tendencies, met Klaus Nicodem back in 1998. Since then they have been known as Japanische Kampfhörspiele.
In the 2 years prior to the foundation of JaKa Christof had been busy with an analogue 8-track-recorder and a CD player experimenting with samples and loops. In doing so he unintentionally found and set the primordial formula for what was to become their unique grindpunk sound.

Consequently, a lot of the material from that period was then revived and re-recorded with Klaus, at first without any vocals. In the next 4 years the two original JaKas proceeded to incorporate lyrics into their demos, always in German.

Since 1998 they have released no less than eight CDs and an internet-only ep on which they interpreted songs by DEATH, A-HA, EXPLOITED, SLAYER, SLIME and ATC. From 2001 on they have seen other musicians join and also leave the band again.
