The Band takes place in 2003 thanks to the the Rhythm Guitarist Francesco "Baldo" Baldi and the former drummer Matteo "Teo" Loreti. The two of them begin to play together and Ernesto Varoli (bass) and another friend as a singer join them. The genre developed by the band is similar to a heavy Nu-Metal with a melodic line which makes the songs catchy. During a practice session the name arrives to the band… a Moth enters the rehearsal room and begins to fly around the room's light. Nothing unusual, but Baldo in a short time changes that event in a name full of meanings.

2003 is the year of the debut during the Emergenza Rock Festival. The response is positive as the band makes it trough the first 2 rounds of the contest. During the 2004 the band plays at the Frog (Summer location for the Temporock club) and the public appreciate the music and the effort of MCF. In the same year there is a change in the formation, Gabriele "Gabbo" Rosi becomes the new voice for Moth's Circle Flight. This change makes the band start all over again as regarding the vocals, however the instrumental parts were left the same.

In spring 2005 the first demo "About Irrationality" recording takes place. The result of the production demonstrates that the MCFs aim to the impact and energy of their music. However the technique is also present and convincing. The demo tracks are short but powerful and the only ballad is appreciated even by who's not fan of the genre. On the stage, the band shows how much the guys enjoy playing their music independently of the audience attending their gigs as it happened at the contest "A Tutta Musica" where the MCF succeed to win and to be ahead of other 24 competitors. After this contest, the band begins to tour in the region having a good success, despite the variety of audience at their concerts.

September 2005 Simone "Pancio" Panciroli enters the MCF as the second voice, whom in a very short time finds the right feeling with the band. Shortly after two news hit the band :
1) a sponsor N.Y.C. (Skate clothing brand),
2) the promotion by Fullblast Rec. The MCF becomes a reality in the Nu-Metal scene and they find a lot of consensus at the Ilex club in Lecce. The band is offered the chance to open the concert to Extrema (The most Internationally Famous Italian Metal Band).

In the early 2006 a new moth fly into the band… Simone "Rabbo" Rabitti as the new bassist. In march they become the opening act for Guilty Method concerts (Digitone Rec. & About Rock,distributed by Sony Music). The two band share many gigs and stages and the Roby by Guilty Method collaborates in the new MSC's Demo recording is violin.

At the end of the same year, MCF play infront of 4000 people at the beer fest in Sorbolo as opening act of the Italian band Gem Boy. Later, the MCF are called along with the band Lineaviola by the Temporock club to substitute the American Head Charge gig.

2007 is the year and scene of a new change… the bass changes hands, which are Luca "Pellach" Alzapiedi's. Shortly after the band records their first video; "Chokora" directed by Fabio "Zedd" Cavallo. Soon after the MCF are called to open for Sepultura. So it begins a period of gigs and opening acts for the band. All the success is crowned with the election of Baldo as best guitarist during the national contest Livornorock.

Through the following years the MCF keep playing, pushed by booking agencies and the promotion of their first Official Album produced by Superock.
However in 2010 the band was hit by two shocking news…
1) Teo (co-founder of the band and drummer) quits the band unexpectedly, he is replaced with Andrea "Taglia" Tagliavini whom will soon after become the new official drummer,
2) Pellach has to leave the band due to personal reasons. He will be replaced by the roman giant Simone "Orso" Cimaglia and shortly after Pellach rejoin the band but as the solo guitarist (since the guitar is his real instrument)…

The new Mothz practice new songs and their genre is still NuMetal but the band makes some changes at their style of playing and singing. Their new debut with the new line up takes place at the Osteria Illinois in Cogruzzo, event created for MCF together with their friendly bands Angeroots and Under the Ocean. The rest has yet to come !
