Biografia : Homicidal (ALG)

The band, originally called RUTHLESS, was formed in 2002 by Skinned Alive (Vocals) as to be his such-and-such project. The line-up have changed several times, the members who came then went didn't perform really.
April 2003, the turning point of the band with the arrival of Utila on the leading guitars. Some days later the whole members, except Skinned Alive and Utila, left the band. The duo decided to change the name of this project from RUTHLESS to HOMICIDAL. SS made a short-lived on the drums.
"Dependent On Beauty", their first release ever was recorded on September, 2004 and released early October through band's running label Skinned Alive Music. The main focus of Homicidal is on delivering a straightforward brutal death metal stuff without drifting into a too technical direction, by some Homicidal plays a brutal death metal the Amercian way and that the early 90s as well as the new brutal scene had a big influence on the songwriting of this commando from Algiers.
"Dependent On Beauty" was well entertained and still, had some killing reviews and got some good critics on most of the 'zines:

"The pace of the stuff is mostly fast like we used to know it from bands in that genre. So you can find fast blasts, heavy mid tempo sections and even some small grooves. The riffs are simple but effective... sometimes with a slight thrashy touch... cool!" - Voices From The Darkside (Germany)...

"Yo recomiendo este disco a todos los adoradores del Death Metal Norte Amerciano, HOMICIDAL va por un buen camino, traten de conseguir de inmediato el material de este duo, el cual tiene devastación, brutalidad y desolación hasta decir basta, si eres un extremo Death Metaller este es tu disco!!!" - Deaththrasher (Peru)...

"I've found this Cd demo just wonderful! This is Death Metal the way I mostly like, this's traditional Death Metal mixed with very talented and inspired riffs, high pitch vocals (it make me remeber the Netherland's band Severe Torture)... A good thing about this band are the track's tittle, I mean a lot of Death Metal bands from third world country will talk only about politics and political suffering and of course about misery, but Homicidal talks about death, the dark side of human mind and stuff, at least is what I found on their Cd demo track list." - Metal Vox (Brasil)...

The high note is that stuff was released through Mexican Atolinga Records on June, 2005, as Homicidal became the first Algerian band released by a foreign underground label and they appeal for more in the near future (hopefully)!
The band is still struggling with the line-up, and didn't prform live yet.
