The wretched foreman
Sent us deeper than we’d known
Gluttonous, emerald eyes
Upon fool’s gold and stone
There’s naught to be found here
In these accursed depths
Tremors, prelude this tomb’s last breath

Darkness eternal
Allowance to die
A lifetime spent as a slave
To a faith undermined
Will I find freedom, in suicide?
Wasted on god

Maddening thoughts unclear
Inhumane and cruel
I was blind
To the truth of our existence
What is the point?
I’m trapped either way
Why must I refuse my nature

Finding escape from this crypt
Forced to contort my body
Break my bones, split my flesh
Bleed through planetary arteries
Great holes are digged
Where Earth’s pores ought to suffice
And things have learnt to walk
That ought to crawl-

-Oh the void it calls me
Detached from the world
Become unburdened
Why must I climb?
We all suffer the same
Searching for meaning is futile

Towers of bones
Build cathedrals of gore
Holy scriptures in blood
Apathetic to more
Embracing absurdity
In Abyssal Uncertainty

Dark of aeons begins
Cadaverous rituals
Deep within
Can’t trust my sight
The thoughts it betrays
My senses return
And I’m left with

Pain
Starving vessel, hollow within
Heartless bastard, won’t let me live
Without meaning, purpose prescribed
Suffer, struggle, yearn all your life

This discrepancy born from the heart,
Sent from the mind, received by the stars
Its answer, is silent
Its truth, incomplete
