Wisdom Is My Misery (I feel so anguished

storms of emotion through my head
looking back at how I once was
and what it is I am turning into
into an abyss, I am lingering on
the cliff's edge... voices call to me
from the bottomless pit of despair
the echoes of others who know what I feel
yet can grieve no sympathy for their own sorrows
.
If I could build a glass house around me
I would shatter it with all my hatred
a fury of devotional betrayal
how others can enter my head and
play their mindless games
how I seethe with anger and contempt
for these wretched feelings I have
.
I must turn to stone
I must turn to stone to flow on
I must flow onto the next phase
and turn my pain into strength
knowledge and experience are my companion
.
How can anyone view life as such glory?
What have they that I have not?
