Things have changed, as years went past –
Much too long for pain to last.
Now it’s time to leave behind
All the troubles on my mind.
Take a look at nature’s cycle,
Everything is doomed to die.
Even death is not forever,
Everything comes back to life.
Watch me rise from last year’s ashes,
See me smile in a new beginning!
Look how I rebuild myself
Over and over again.
Sometimes we grieve, sometimes we laugh –
Through times of sorrow, we grow at last.
Horror, hatred, fear and pain –

I see the pale moon rise,

Eternal tears fall silent
Upon these barren lands.
We used to burn in anger,
Swords of vengeance in our hands!
Now the days have darkened slowly,
Knowledge has turned into doubt.
And the kings betray their people,
Leaving as we cry out loud…
Domination, screw the rules
Lead us into no man’s land!
Scepters handed on to fools
No return from no man’s land.

The soul of the child in me is gone,
Violently drawn into the world.
Call it by it’s name, then seal your lips forever
Senseless seems fate, senseless the word.
Foresee the pain, flee the disease
sweeter smells always the scent of the forbidden!
Loneliness, my friend of old
Make me feel less dead inside,
Less lost and alone.
Hope slowly leaves ‘til a friendlier day,
Dreams fade rotting forevermore.
My betrayal is the sin of our age,
Still the innocent will suffer a less bitter end.
Sicken me!
Millions of choices, but none of it free,
The knowledge strikes wounds in my tormented heart.
And demons keep whispering sorrowful words,
