1. WHERE THE SHADOWS ADORN

Cast from the maw of dying skies
My blood and pain be upon you
And with velvet the oceans rise
A thousand shades of waning night, I fall to ash

A requiem spilled from damned eyes
Onto cold and forsaken lands
For there is nothing left to worship, I know
This beloved hell be my haven to mourn

Lulled by hymns that blind and curse my soul
Into the arms of infernal thorn
I dream beside the dead
I speak their ancient tongue

Sanctified in endless rain
In silence forevermore
I sink beneath the sands
Withered bone and empty hands
To wake where the shadows adorn


2. RAIN

My soul seeps into the arid soil
I purify in the ichor below
The bottomless wells
Of buried dreams and forgotten years
A eulogy of portraits damned
Painted in blood and tears

A vestige of words unspoken
And lost stories left untold
Of what could have been
And what shall be no more

Streaks of crimson cascade
Through the oaken shadows peer
Light my endless quest
Down the halls of dismal drear
As the moonlight mirrors the sea

I gaze into a reflection cold and still
The stars above rain upon my lifeless flesh
And release me beyond the world at last
My soul seeps into the arid soil
I purify in the ichor below

Open the ethereal gates
Lure me to my longed rest
Pierce my hollowed heart
Bless me and be my death


3. TEARS LIKE WINE

Rot with me
Beneath the darkness and mire
In hallowed stone forever etched
Vanished from the eye of the sun
Crowned in glory and death

Follow me, poisoned angel
I wait for you int eh searing black
I'll bury our fears far within the earth
I'll drink your tears like wine

Flow through me your river of pain
This bitter elixir nourishes my veins
Pale grew thy frost along my flesh
I perish atop your sorrow's spectral crest

Scarlet lips and hands snow-white
Beheld upon the chasm of my chest
I entreat you, fall into my caress
With what of my formless soul is left


4. THE EMPTINESS OF EYES

Clawing through the dust of dead gods
I'll scatter my bones across the earth
Like endless shards of broken glass

Carving threnodies in the desert sod
Of your grandeur, my weakness
Stained palms and clouded sight
Maybe one day you'll come to find
The trail I hath left behind

Woven in relics of the wreckage I sire
By the frost of my dying breath
May it guide you under moonlit skies
Beyond the winds of death
To where my bloodied knees
Still lie bent for you

To where my poisoned heart
Still yearns for you
Upon seas of deafened ears
The emptiness of eyes
As the dark becomes

So silently shall I
Adornment of their waves
Banished in the tide
As idle shores grieve

5. OF SOLITUDE AND STONE

A gust of callous breath and promise
Before a shrine of haunting memoirs
Of all I long to hold again
Written in spells of Stygian starlight
In words that paint eh distant ether
And mask my wearied heart in ice

Crystalline waves of evocation
Descend from phantom fingertips
To carry me far away from here
From familiar rays of golden suns
As poised before me the silhouette
Beckons in silent tongue

Paralyzed I lie in this enchanted shroud
Buried alive, I close my eyes
In her cold, inviting arms
As tears fall from the heavens
And flood this ruined cask
To quench the deathless thirst
Into the still of eternity, I sail

Through ornate skies unknown
These cursed wings my hearse
Wring the blood from my veins
Harvest the marrow from my bone
And rest me upon a desolate apex
Of solitude and stone


6. THE CROWN

In bitter winds of our creation
The dead wood writhes in disdain
From the eyes of forgotten shrines
Rain tears onto graves that beareth no name

And I'll paint this pallid canvas in frost
On a pilgrimage of harbored guilt and pain
As the sun sets forever upon us all
Sheltering my restless gaze
A maze of recollection
And effigies of weathered stone

Of all the ruin we've come to beget
And will never here atone
This crown lay upon my head
Fading with me into the everblack
Of all we've come to reap
To dream alone in endless sleep


7. GHOST IN THE TWILIGHT

This myriad of infernos I become
The earth ablaze beneath my feet
They fill my veins with streams of venom
Saturating the night's stare with grief

I walk the isles of my prized delusion
Ascending the twilight stairs of sleep
Where angels writhe with quivering wings
Guide me through the veil of perennial dark

And the voices that I once knew
I lustrate in eidolon waves
Next to the ghost of you

The enigma of distant memory
Gleaming ethereal eyes
Pierce through me like daggers
As death ends life


8. THE CALIGINOUS VOICE

Embellish me in a hail of fire
Dress my body in eternal scar
With glowing eyes and honed claws
Burn bright and sink into my skin

Upon your throne
Diadem of waning light
Lift me into your ruins
That inhabit the starless sky

You are the caliginous voice
The ghost beyond the mist
The cry that bestills the night
The shadowed lament

"And leave me then to die
In the dark of misery's hold
Pierce me with jagged stares
As my body turns to stone
Drowning under the scorn of time
I lie bare and dormant in its flow
And with my last cold breath
I bid you my soul"

I bid you my soul
I soar with broken wings
And paint your name across the clouds
For every god to see
