1. LIFE'S ORIENT MORN

Life's orient morn hath passed away
Hushed all the clamorous cares of day

Jesus, my light of life, draw near
Shine on my darkness, chase each fear
Stand by me in life's closing fight
And cheering say, I am thy light

Life's western portal opes for me
Death's darkening valley near I see
This promise meets my dimming sight
At evening time it shall be light

Through twilight calm soft steals one chime
It shall be light at evening time

Washed in Thy precious blood alone
Arrayed in righteousness Thine own
From evening time I pass away
To Heaven's eternal shadeless day

Jesus, my light of life, draw near
Shine on my darkness, chase each fear
Stand by me in life's closing fight
And cheering say, I am thy light

2. STANDING ON THE WORD OF GOD

I am standing on the Word of God
Which came to men of old
The Holy Book our fathers loved
And treasured more than gold

I am standing on the Word of God
'Tis holy and 'tis true
Through ages it has been our light
With splendor ever new

I am standing, standing on the Word
Though the earth change and decay
It shall never, never pass away
I am standing on the Word of God

I am standing on the Word of God
'Tis full of life divine
God's Spirit lives in ev'ry word
And moves in ev'ry line

I am standing on the Word of God
And thus I am secure
Though blows the tempest wild and hard
'Twill evermore endure

I am standing on the Word of God
And on my dying bed
I'll share its consolations, Lord
When death's dark vale I tread

I am standing, standing on the Word
Though the earth change and decay
It shall never, never pass away
I am standing on the Word of God

3. GRACE IS FREE

There's nothing like the old, old story
Grace is free, grace is free!
Which saints and martyrs tell in glory
Grace is free, grace is free!
It brought them thro' the flood and flame
By it they fought and overcome
And now they cry thro' His dear name
Grace is free, grace is free!

Grace is free, grace is free!
There's nothing like the old, old story
Grace is free, grace is free!
Which saints and martyrs tell in glory

There's only hope in trusting Jesus
Grace is free, grace is free!
From sin that doomed, He died to free us
Grace is free, grace is free!
Who would not tell the story sweet
Of love so wondrous, so complete
And fall in rapture at His feet
Grace is free, grace is free!

Grace is free, grace is free!
There's nothing like the old, old story
Grace is free, grace is free!
Which saints and martyrs tell in glory

From age to age the theme is telling
From shore to shore the strains are swelling
And when that time shall cease to be
And faith is crowned with victory

'Twill sound thro' all eternity
Grace is free, grace is free!

Grace is free, grace is free!
There's nothing like the old, old story
Grace is free, grace is free!
Which saints and martyrs tell in glory

4. BLESSED ROCK

'Mid the wild and fearful blast
I have reached the Rock at last
Helpless, weak and sore dismayed
To the cross I'll cling for aid

Wrecked by sin, by tempest tossed
Compass, chart and anchor lost
He whose power alone can save
Lulls the wind and stills the wave

Rock, that hides my trembling soul
From the storms that darkly roll
While beneath the surges dash
Thunders roar, and lightnings flash

Blessed Rock, whose love divine
Fills with joy this heart of mine
Cross of Him who died for me
Evermore I'll cling to Thee

When beyond the vale of night
I shall soar to realms of light
When mine eyes behold the King
Heart and soul and tongue shall sing

Blessed Rock, whose love divine
Fills with joy this heart of mine
Cross of Him who died for me
Evermore I'll cling to Thee

5. GLORIOUS FREEDOM

Once I was bound by sin's galling fetters;
Chained like a slave, I struggled in vain.
But I received a glorious freedom,
When Jesus broke my fetters in twain.

Glorious freedom! Wonderful freedom!
No more in chains of sin I repine!
Jesus the glorious Emancipator--
Now and forever He shall be mine.

Freedom from all the carnal affections;
Freedom from envy, hatred and strife;
Freedom from vain and worldly ambitions;
Freedom from all that saddened my life!

Freedom from pride and all sinful follies;
Freedom from love and glitter of gold;
Freedom from evil temper and anger;
Glorious freedom, rapture untold!

Freedom from fear with all of its torments;
Freedom from care with all of its pain;
Freedom in Christ, my blessed Redeemer--
He who has rent my fetters in twain.

Glorious freedom! Wonderful freedom!
No more in chains of sin I repine!
Jesus the glorious Emancipator--
Now and forever He shall be mine.

6. THE FUTURE

Oh, I often sit and ponder
When the sun is sinking low
Where shall yonder future find me
Does but God in Heaven know?
Shall I be among the living?
Shall I mingle with the free?
Wheresoe'er my path be leading
Savior, Keep my heart with Thee

Oh, the future lies before me
And I know not where I'll be
But where'er my path be leading
Savior, keep my heart with Thee

Shall I be at work for Jesus
Whilst He leads me by the hand
And to those around be saying
Come and join His happy band?
Come, for all things now are ready
Come, His faithful follower be
Oh, where'er my path be leading
Savior, keep my heart with Thee

But perhaps my work for Jesus
Soon in future may be done
All my earthly trials ended
And my crown in Heaven won

Oh, the future lies before me
And I know not where I'll be
But where'er my path be leading
Savior, keep my heart with Thee

Then, forever with the ransomed
Thro' eternity I'd be
Chanting hymns to Him who bought me
With His blood shed on the tree

7. SDG, PT. 7

Holy Father, cheer our way
With Thy love's perpetual ray
Grant us every closing day
Light at evening time

Holy Savior, calm our fears
When earth's brightness disappears
Grant us in our later years
Light at evening time

Soli Deo Gloria - S.D.G.
Soli Deo Gloria - S.D.G.

Holy Spirit, be Thou nigh
When in mortal pains we lie
Grant us, as we come to die
Light at evening time

Holy, blessed Trinity
Darkness is not dark to Thee
Those Thou keepest always see
Light at evening time

Soli Deo Gloria - S.D.G.

8. SOME DAY

Beams of Heaven, as I go
Through this wilderness below
Guide my feet in peaceful ways
Turn my midnights into days
When in the darkness I would grope
Faith always sees a star of hope
And soon from all life's grief and danger
I shall be free some day

I do not know how long 'twill be
Nor what the future holds for me
But this I know, if Jesus leads me
I shall get home some day

Oftentimes my sky is clear
Joy abounds without a tear
Though a day so bright begun
Clouds may hide tomorrow's sun
There'll be a day that's always bright
A day that never yields to night
And in its light the streets of glory
I shall behold some day

I do not know how long 'twill be
Nor what the future holds for me
But this I know, if Jesus leads me
I shall get home some day

Harder yet may be the fight
Right may often yield to might
Wickedness awhile may reign
Satan's cause may seem to gain
There is a God that rules above
With hand of power and heart of love
If I am right, He'll fight my battle
I shall have peace some day

Burdens now may crush me down
Disappointments all around
Troubles speak in mournful sigh
Sorrow through a tear-stained eye
There is a world where pleasure reigns
No mourning soul shall roam its plains
And to that land of peace and glory
I want to go some day

9. IN SICKNESS AND PAIN

When cares and sorrows thicken round,
And nothing bright I see,
In Thee alone can help be found;
To Thee I turn, to Thee.

Jesus, in sickness and in pain,
Be near to succor me,
My sinking spirit still sustain;
To Thee I turn, to Thee.

Should strong temptations fierce assail,
As if to ruin me,
Then in Thy strength will I prevail,
While still I turn to Thee.

When cares and sorrows thicken round,
And nothing bright I see,
In Thee alone can help be found;
To Thee I turn, to Thee.

Jesus, in sickness and in pain,
Be near to succor me,
My sinking spirit still sustain;
To Thee I turn, to Thee.

Through all my pilgrimage below,
Whate'er my lot may be,
In joy or sadness, weal or woe,
Jesus, I'll turn to Thee.

Jesus, in sickness and in pain,
Be near to succor me,
My sinking spirit still sustain;
To Thee I turn, to Thee.

10. LET US WAIT

If we enter into glory
At the resurrection light
And in triumph sing the story
Of the love that banished night
Shall we murmur at the sleeping
Till that great resplendent day?
Will it be a cause for weeping
When our tears are wiped away?

When we see the saints all beaming
In their crowns and robes of white
And our loved ones in the gleaming
With their forms so pure and bright

Let us wait
Let us wait
Let us wait for Christ from Heaven
Till the resurrection morn

When we meet beyond the sighing
In the home beyond the gloom
Shall we grieve because of lying
In the dark and silent tomb?
If we see the harvest glowing
In the grand eternal rays
And then gladly reap from sowing
In these tears thro' sorrow's days

Shall we then be heard repining
Tho' the seed in earth remain?
In that morning's splendid shining
It will wave in golden grain

Let us wait
Let us wait
Let us wait for Christ from Heaven
Till the resurrection morn

Let us wait for Christ from Heaven
As the church in days of old
When to us our crowns are given
We will walk the streets of gold
It will be no cause of sadness
That we parted when we died
We shall be in perfect gladness
With the psalmist satisfied

11. RESURRECTION MORNING

When the trump of God shall sound
From the lonely grave and mound
From the grave forever free
Clothed with immortality

On the resurrection morning we shall rise
And together meet the Savior in the skies
From the grave forever free
Clothed with immortality

Martyred millions who were slain
Shall come forth with Christ to reign
Patriarchs and sages old
Will arise from dust and mold

Those who left us years ago
We shall meet again and know
Death has lost its dreaded sting
With triumphant joy we sing

On the resurrection morning we shall rise
And together meet the Savior in the skies
From the grave forever free
Clothed with immortality

If the Lord should come today
With a thrill our hearts can say
For the living who remain
Shall be caught up without pain

On the resurrection morning we shall rise
And together meet the Savior in the skies
From the grave forever free
Clothed with immortality

12. 40:31

I live on a wing and a prayer
In majesty I ride
Inheritance of royalty
Flows within my blood
Soaring to the heights
The eagle shall be bold

Isaiah 40:31
Isaiah 40:31

I ride the wings of change
Agile in the wake of hate
Ruling with an iron sword
Death to my taunting prey
Faithful to my final quest
The eagle shall be bold

Isaiah 40:31
Isaiah 40:31

Those who wait on the Lord
They shall renew their strength
Mount up with wings like eagles
They'll walk and shall not faint
They'll run and not be weary
The eagle shall be bold

Isaiah 40:31
Isaiah 40:31

13. FREEDOM

Ooh
Ooh

Felt like the weight of the world was on my shoulders
Pressure to break or retreat at every turn
Facing the fear that the truth I discovered
No telling how all this will work out
But I've come too far to go back now

I am looking for freedom, looking for freedom
And to find it cost me everything I have
Well I am looking for freedom, looking for freedom
And to find it may take everything I have!

I know all too well it don't come easy
The chains of the world they seem to move in tight
I try to walk around it
But stumbling's so familiar
Try to get up but the doubt is so strong
There's gotta be a wind in my bones

Oh not giving up has always been hard
So hard
But if I do the things the easy way I won't get far

Hmm, life hasn't been very kind to me lately
Well
But I suppose it's a push for moving on
Oh yeah
In time the sun's gonna shine on me nicely
One day yeah
Something tells me good things are coming and I ain't gonna not believe

I am looking for freedom, looking for freedom
And to find it cost me everything I have
Well I am looking for freedom, looking for freedom
And to find it may take everything I have!

14. LOOKING FOR FREEDOM

One morning in June
Some twenty years ago
I was born a rich man's son
I had everything that money could buy
But freedom I had none

I've been looking for freedom
I've been looking so long
I've been looking for freedom
Still the search goes on
I've been looking for freedom
Since I left my home town
I've been looking for freedom
Still it can't be found

I headed down the track
My baggage on my back
I left the city far behind
(Uh-uh-uh, uh-uh-uh)
Walking down that road
With my heavy load
Trying to find some ease of mind

Father said: "You'll be sorry, son
If you leave your home this way
And when you realize
The freedom money buys
You'll come running home someday"

I've been looking for freedom
I've been looking so long
I've been looking for freedom
Still the search goes on
I've been looking for freedom
Since I left my home town
I've been looking for freedom
Still it can't be found

I made a lot of dues
Had plenty to lose
Traveling across the land
Worked on a farm
Got some muscle in my arms
But still I'm not a self-made man
I feel the run for many years to come
I'll be searching door to door
And given some time
Some day I'm gonna find
The freedom (freedom, freedom)
I've been searching for

I've been looking for freedom (looking for freedom)
I've been looking so long (looking so long)
I've been looking for freedom (looking for freedom)
Still the search goes on (search goes on)
I've been looking for freedom (looking for freedom)
Since I left my home town (left my home town)
I've been looking for freedom (looking for freedom)
Still it can't be found (still it can't be found)

I've been looking for freedom (looking for freedom)
I've been looking so long (looking so long)
I've been looking for freedom (looking for freedom)
Still the search goes on (search goes on)
I've been looking for freedom (looking for freedom)
Since I left my home town (left my home town)
I've been looking for freedom (looking for freedom)
Still it can't be found (still it can't be found)
