You shepherds of old were exalted by God
To take care of His flock
Because care was not taken your eyes did stray
They're scattered in the dark

To find them now an impossible task
Your destiny you did choose
Pity on you and those that you lost

But indulge in gluttony
You didn't help the lame or heal the sick

For deliverance by My hand

You have lived in luxury
And loved your self-indulgent ways
You've fattened yourself for the slaughter

2. DORMANCY

Man's a product of the Fall
Writhing in ignorant blackness
Born to burn for original sin
Conceived in spiritual blindness

In rebellion to the Lord
Victims of an unpaid price
Intervention of Messiah
Our Redeemer Jesus Christ

Awake from your slumber
Arise from dormancy

The Lord shall keep you from all evil
He alone preserves your soul
Renounce the hidden things of shame
Surrender to the Spirit's control

Let the Word dwell in you richly
Walk as righteous, sin no more

3. CATHARTIC RELEASE OF AGGRESSION

You say we've reached a pinnacle
And heightened our technology
I witness a spectable
As you embrace immortality

You deify yourself
Denying the essentials
Violence, hatred, failing, health
So much for human potential

We're sick and tired
Blasphemers and liars
Repent or suffer
In eternal life

4. CONSEQUENCE FOR THE CONVICTED

"Court is in session will all please rise?"
As the judge took his seat on the Throne
You gazed in horror at the dilemma you faced
On the defendant's seat all alone

The prosecution's the serpent his statement the Law
Against the truth you had no defense
Both sides of the argument witnessed by all
Convicted by your incompetence

Object, for the wages of sin is spiritual death
Guilty, there's consequences for the convicted

No recess was taken there were many to try
"Will the defendant stand?"
The gavel pounded the sentence was passed
"Guilty! Damnation's at hand!"

The serpent laughed "Let the slaughter begin
For this one belongs to me."
Your destiny clear millions screaming in fear
With weeping and gnashing of teeth

Alan the judgement passed
The verdict eternal death
I gaze in abject fear
As I breathe my dying breath

No I stand condemned
No one hears my plea
Then Christ approached the bench
And paid the price for me

If the decision is made in a time before death
To confess and believe in your heart
You shall be saved from the evils of Hell

Jesus statement was addressed as this
"Dear God and Father I have paid his bail

In Christ I'll handle temporal strain

For no criminal act they were confined
By blinded eye and foolish mind
Affliction suffered by saints of old
Gives Divine freedom chains can't hold

Submit to worldly vice
Prisoner
Cellblock our own device
Reborn
Imprisoned yet released
Pardoned
Christ has granted perfect peace

Freedom can be yours today
God's provided us the way
In Christ alone surrender all
There's victory behind the wall
