Walking the path

Ancient, forbidding
Cold, grotesque

Nothingness, emptiness
Utter darkness, my doom

What lies ahead
I dare not to think
Fear ? I sense not
So I walk on

Each step I leave behind
Drowns into blackness
Ahead an alien sight
Inanimate, yet approaching

Voices or whispers
Both or none
Dark or light
But surely cold

As shadows gather
He Rises...
