Caged behind metal fences, blacklights lit and body-painted, surrounded by video projections, trashy-pop-art scenery and the amazingly raw beauty of dancer Olga, they get you tripping into a surreal universe, a neverland where gay culture clashes with Z-movie references.

This visual (but not too abysmal) concept was built through more than 300 european gigs (France, England, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal) with bands like Das Ich, Oomph, VNV Nation, Hanin Elias, Senser, A Split Second, making Punish Yourself one of the most important European cyberpunk acts. Strangely, PY also played with bands like Fishbone or The Skatalites... Who wants to stay hidden in a Rivethead-ghetto, anyway ?

With the new album \"Sexplosive Locomotive\", PY pushes obsessions even further : a full blast of epileptic electronic dance anthems, heavy beats & ultrasonic guitars, melting samples and distorted sequencing, to make afterpunk reincarnate into an after-techno body. As a companion to this dancefloor mayhem, the \"Deep Inside Punish Yourself\" comic-book (story by Coralie Trinh Thi, author, movie director & sex-godess) will thrash your optic nerves for real - the very essence of \"Sex & drugs & Apocalypse\" laid down on paper !
