PHORKYAS in the year 1999 from the deepest throats of the Hades up-arose. Already at that time it was to be played our goal not simply only Metal, but we tried to make always also a statement. Because PHORKYAS a symbol for the anti-art, an alternative to the taste of the mass, is which we want to offer. Naturally we had in confusions of the first years with LINE UP changes to often fight (as it was to be also different), which threw us several times to the beginning back. But we had already sold our souls the melodischen Death Metal of Swedish pace to 1999. Text we dedicated ourselves to before all our own roots, thus the time of our celtic ancestors. It was to be remained our avowed goal always plate-free and independent and besides also a part of the old wisdom into the today's time to be transported. It actually lasted however up to the summer 2001 to our current LINE UP was complete. In the meantime we wrote the first Clubgig played (16.03.2001) and pieces for full CD. Whether these titles to be ever published is located however in the stars. we started and played 2002 then correctly through many live-concerts in our area, which increased on the one hand our Bekanntheitsgrad, on the other hand in addition, our demand for own CD. Therefore we produced the demo single “the sieb´te year” in the spring 2003 in complete self-direction. Our style developed itself further since then and proceeds now altogether more compromiseless. In music as text we opened also more modern influences, as our demo album proves “end time”, which we took up at the beginning of of 2005 together with franc judge of Nightlife record. Which brings the future, is difficult so far to say. Only as much: We are always endeavor our strengths to develop and our weaknesses eliminate.
